You've probably guessed that our Store Championship is coming up! Now's the perfect time to prepare. The Fabled set has added a new layer of strategy for us to consider. As players finalize their decks, the question that keeps coming up is: "How do these new cards shake up the meta?"
The Store Championship is the perfect time to see the impact these new cards have on the game. And we can't wait to see you there!
What is a Store Championship for Lorcana?
The Store Championship is the largest competitive event a store can host. It's the best time to compete against the most experienced players in the community in a high-level tournament. Players compete for invitations to move up the competitive tiers and to receive highly sought-after exclusive rewards—and most importantly—bragging rights!
The event is designed for the best of the best. It is therefore recommended to arrive with a strategy in mind and a well-crafted deck that will be powerful, but also adaptable against the competition.
Fabled Cards to Consider
Many might argue that knowing your deck inside out is enough to climb the competitive ladder, but while this is not untrue, it's even more important to know the current meta. The cards that turn the tide in your favor and those for which you need answers. Each new set brings new ones, and Fabled hasn't disappointed in this regard, introducing cards that will rock the arena! Expect to see:
- Dumbo - Ninth Wonder of the Universe: This card is becoming a mainstay in many control decks. Its ability to draw cards while generating ink makes it extremely effective for maintaining a full hand and never running out of resources, not to mention its synergy with amethyst evasion decks.
- Hades - Infernal Schemer: Although this card is technically a reprint, in the current meta, where removals are rare, Hades offers versatile and powerful removal by sending an opponent's character to their inkwell, overcoming any potential banishing effects the targeted card might have.
The Store Championship will be the perfect opportunity to experiment with all these new cards and strategies to help you fall in love with new decks!
The Store Event
Registration: Simply register on our website or in-store. Space is limited, so don't wait!
Welcome and Event: Participants are expected at 11:00 AM for the start of the tournament. Players will compete in a best-of-three format. At the end of the rounds, the best players will compete in a top-cut round to determine the champion.
Prizes: All participants will receive an exclusive promotional card, and the finalists will be able to take home unique playmats!
The Store Championship event is the perfect time to get your hands on the new cards, but also to compete with the best in your community. Whether you're a seasoned player or simply want to discover the game, the Store Championship is the perfect event to explore the new expansion and prove you're the best.
