Akood and Emuti

This is undoubtedly the card that will define the speed of the game. For only 3 ink, it reduces the cost of your next character by 2 and lets you draw a card. It's the perfect tool to counter the first player advantage and set your threats before your opponent can react.

Grandmother Willow – Ancient Advisor

Unlike other cost reduction cards, she doesn't need to be exhausted to activate her ability. She remains on the board, reduces the cost of your characters each turn, and forces your opponent to waste resources to get rid of them, thus protecting your biggest threats.

Pete – Ghost of Christmas Future

If you enjoy control and long-term strategy, Pete is your best ally. With 5 defense, he filters your deck every time he goes on an adventure. The more cards you accumulate under him using the Boost mechanic, the more options he gives you to find the exact answer you need.

Mulan – Resourceful Recruit

Mulan reinvents how you gain Lore Shards. While she starts with 0 base shards, her strength lies in her ability to gain Lore equal to her attack power (up to a maximum of 6!) when she goes on an adventure. Pair her with cards that boost power, and you have an explosive and thematically appealing win condition.

Lilo – Bundled Up

Thanks to her Extra Layers ability, she ignores the first source of damage she receives each turn. This is the perfect card for applying constant pressure: your opponent will need to use two resources or two attacks to eliminate it, giving you a valuable resource advantage.
