Hello to all our Riftbound players!
The moment we've all been waiting for is approaching, and with the release of the third set just around the corner, Riot Games is starting to reveal the cards for the Unleashed set. While the first two sets were primarily designed to lay the groundwork for the game, this one promises to take the experience to the next level.
Here's why the third set will redefine how you play and why you shouldn't miss the launch on May 1st.
Three New Mechanics
Unleashed introduces concepts that reward patience and a sense of timing. It's the end of the linear combo system we've seen so far. We'll finally have that familiar feeling of uncertainty about our opponents' strategies.

Ambush
Play your units directly as a reaction on a battlefield where you're already positioned to surprise your opponent with cards that will boost your attackers or turn the tide of the battle in your favor.

XP
Some cards, like the Kha'Zix champion Voidreaver, allow you to accumulate experience points as a strategic resource. Your cards gain power and unlock cost advantages or even passives that make your units immune to spells and other abilities.

Hunt
Units with this keyword generate XP even more easily by capturing or holding a battlefield. The situation can quickly turn in your favor if you have good timing!
Iconic Legends Join the Fight
The announcement of certain heroes is generating buzz right now, with characters who perfectly embody the spirit of the jungle and the night, a recurring theme in the new set. Get ready to build decks around:

Kha'Zix
When you win a battle, gain 1 XP. Spend 1 XP to buff a unit. Spend 2 XP to move a unit from a battlefield to your base.

Diana
As a reaction, tap and add 1 energy.

Lillia
For 4, play a 3 might token with "temporary". The ability costs 1 less per unit that shares the keyword.

Ivern
When you take or keep a battlefield, you can tap it to replace the battlefield with a Brush token.

For Collectors: Ultimate Rarity Arrives!
A new rarity is coming to Riftbound: Ultimate. Less than 1% of boosters will contain these numbered cards. The very first card in the series? None other than the iconic Baron Nashor. A card that not only packs a punch in the game, but will also delight the eye of any League of Legends fan!

Head over to Cartes Léo!
A TCG doesn't just live in booster packs. It lives through its community, its place of belonging, and the experiences we create around it. That's precisely why we want to be there for you during the Unleashed release!
