June 2026 is well underway, and the wave of new Pokémon releases is already well underway. After nearly two weeks of reflection, testing, and opening booster packs, we can take a step back and make some informed decisions. If you missed the releases at the beginning of the month or are still hesitant to buy packs, here's our buyer's guide to help you optimize your budget and know where to invest your resources.

Competitive Play
The decks from last year's World Championships have been released. It's important to remember that these cards, which have a special back with the player's signature, remain strictly prohibited in official tournaments (including tournaments in most stores).
On the other hand, these decks remain the best value for money on the market for testing the Standard format at its highest level without spending hundreds of dollars. They're very useful for understanding the mechanics of professional players, practicing at home, or lending to a friend who wants to learn more about Pokémon.

Mega Evolution Tins
The Mega Gengar EX and Mega Clefable EX metal tins are already out. Beyond being collectibles, some of the individual cards are worth a closer look.
Mega Gengar EX
Its discard and poison mechanics seem to be becoming a staple in many decks to counter slower Pokémon V/EX decks. If you play the Dark archetype, it's probably in your best interest to have multiple copies of it in your deck.
If you bought the box for the included Chaos Rising boosters, we recommend going to a store to check the value of your Trainer Cards because they're fluctuating a lot right now in your favor!

First Partners Series 2
This Friday marks the last Pokémon release of June, but certainly not the least. Riding the wave of hype surrounding the franchise's 30th anniversary, the Johto, Unova, and Galar-themed sets will soon be available in stores and online.
The secondary market is already eagerly awaiting the Full Art Illustration Rares found in the special 3-card booster pack included in each box. Not to mention the immense popularity of the Johto starters, which only adds to the anticipation.
If you're looking for a specific card for your collection, we invite you to check out our slabs and individual cards displayed in our windows before prices start to skyrocket, or try your luck with the new releases while we still have stock!
