August may be less busy in terms of the number of Pokémon releases, but it's certainly no less interesting. A new selection of products will be available this month, celebrating the nostalgia of the first Partners while maintaining the power of Mega Evolution.

Here are all the details on the releases to watch for this August:

August 7: First Partner Illustration Collection - Series 3

Every game, series, and journey begins with choosing your first partner Pokémon. To celebrate this bond between trainer and Pokémon, the third series of the collection arrives at the beginning of the month.

The main booster pack contains 3 random Rare Artwork promo cards from among:

• Trekky, Torchic, and Mudkip for Hoenn (G3)
• Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie for Kalos (G6)
• Thrush, Chochodile, and Cofida for Paldea (G9)

The box also contains 2 additional booster packs and a sticker sheet for the biggest fans of the original partners.

August 28: Mega Forces Tins

The end of the month brings a great update for Mega-Evolution EX cards. For this tin format, three Pokémon are featured and are accompanied by 4 booster packs:

Mega Dragonite EX

Ability: Once during your turn, you can use this Ability. Switch your Active Pokémon for one of your Benched Pokémon.

For 1 Water + 2 Electric: Ryuno Glide does 330 damage. Discard 2 Energy from this Pokémon.

Mega Darkrai EX

For 2 Dark: Dusk Raid deals 110+ damage. If at least one damage counter is placed on your Benched Pokémon, this attack deals an additional 110 damage.

For 3 Dark: If your opponent's Active Pokémon is affected by a Special Effect, Abyss Eye knocks it out.

Mega Zeraora EX

For 1 Electric: Thunderous Fist deals 60 damage. This attack deals 60 damage for each Electric Energy attached to this Pokémon.

For 3 Electric: Zepto Turn deals 150 damage. Swap this Pokémon for one of your Benched Pokémon.

August 28: Mega Evolution Ascended Heroes Tins

Also available on August 28, this second series focuses directly on the Ascended Heroes expansion. The featured cards are:

• Mega Meganium ex
• Mega Emboar ex
• Mega Feraligatr ex

And like the Mega Force Tins, each box contains 4 booster packs, but this time they're specifically themed around Ascended Heroes.
