The announcement of the new features for May 2026 has been made, and the excitement is palpable in the community. This May marks the arrival of the "Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising" expansion, bringing one of the most beloved mechanics for players—Mega Evolution—back to the forefront.

The Rise of Pokémon EX
The most anticipated event of the month is undoubtedly the release of the new expansion on May 22. Keep an eye out for the Mega Graninja EX chase card, which not only has stunning artwork, creating a mural with the other two Kalos starter Pokémon, but it's also a card with abilities that will make your opponents tremble.
Strategies with Mega Greninja EX
The Mega Greninja EX card looks formidable for control thanks to its versatility. First, its "Deadly Shuriken" ability allows you to discard a Water Energy to place 6 damage counters, for a total of 60 damage, on any of your opponent's Pokémon. It's a perfect tool for finishing off Benched Pokémon or setting up a massive attack on the Active Pokémon.
Its "Ninja Spinner" attack gives you the option to deal either 120 damage for two Water Energy or 200 if you discard a Water Energy from the card.
Early testers of the card recommend synergizing Mega Greninja EX with Energy Retrieval cards like "Superior Energy Retrieval" to power its attack, or combining it with Dragapult EX to maximize damage spread on the opponent's Bench.
