The official announcement from Wizards of the Coast and the complete breakdown by The Command Zone highlight the potential of the first commander deck: Avengers Assemble. If you don't want to watch Command Zone's hour-long video, don't worry, we've got you covered. We've provided a summary so you can focus on what you love: the mechanics and the deck's viability around the tabletop.

Deck Identity and Gameplay
The deck revolves around the Jeskai color combination (Blue/White/Red). With its 38 lands, it includes several mana rocks and plenty of ramp, as well as 13 cards to give and maintain your card advantage. This makes the deck itself very well-balanced!
The core structure relies on an aggressive yet simple mechanic: Go-Wide/Hero Typical combined with +1/+1 counters and Hero boosts. The main commander, Captain America, Team Leader, acts as a battle accelerator, granting Haste and Vigilance to a Hero that enters the battlefield until the end of the turn, in addition to mutually granting each other +1/+1. With 25 Hero creatures, you can be sure the synergy will be firing on all cylinders.

Chase Cards and Reprint Value
For a preconstructed deck, the raw value is excellent, with an estimated reprint value of around $150. The deck consists of 32 new cards, 5 main set cards, 16 basic lands, and 47 reprints.
Many iconic characters also make an appearance, lending their unique synergies to the deck's mechanics.
Modifying the Deck (Budget $50)
According to The Command Zone, the technical analysis of the preconstructed deck reveals two minor weaknesses: like most preconstructed decks, it is vulnerable to board wipes, but it also has a fairly high number of basic lands that can be reduced to increase board presence.
To make the deck a real threat at your table, the adaptation focuses on three priorities

Protection and Tempo
Including cards like Captain America, Super Soldier with its hexproof that extends to all your creatures, Spectacular Spider-Man, or spells to phase out your creatures when needed, such as Ripples of Potential, will allow you to manage your opponents without losing your accumulated resources in the process.

Similarly, Spider-Woman, Stunning Savior can force your opponents' artifacts to enter tapped, breaking their tempo and giving you extra time to set up your board.

Multiply Your Triggers
Adding creatures like Cadric and Soulkindler allows you to clone your Legendary Heroes when they enter the battlefield, doubling the effects of your Captain America commander.

Remove Irrelevant Cards
To make room for new additions, The Command Zone suggests removing slower cards like Captain Marvel, Apex Avenger, Gift of Immortality, and Love on Battlefield. They cost too much, strangely restrict your attacks, or simply belong in a different type of deck.
With all that said, let us know if you have any other interesting deck modifications in the store or in the comments!
