What is a prerelease?
Prerelease events are primarily used to introduce new sets, but also—and most importantly—to generate fun! And Super Slam packs a punch with its wrestling theme!
A prerelease is a casual and friendly event where players are given six packs from which they must build a deck and engage in battles against their opponents. The format isn't a high-level tournament and is designed to engage players in discovering the set's new mechanics.
The new cards and mechanics of Super Slam
One of the most exciting things about a prerelease is discovering the set's new mechanics. Super Slam doesn't disappoint, introducing two new concepts that fit right into their theme and are sure to rock the arena! Expect to see:
Cheer and Boo: Cards that depend on whether your hero was cheered or booed during your last turn trigger special abilities that will enhance their potential.
Suspense: A new type of countdown that will require you to plan several turns in advance to maximize your effects, as the mechanics will play on the priority—or rather, lack of priority—of players...
And Clash is back with new cards to spice up your battles. This prerelease will be the perfect opportunity to experiment with all these new mechanics and maybe even win the hearts of some new heroes!
The event in the store
Registration: Simply reserve your spot on our website or by clicking here.
Welcome and event: Participants arrive at 11:00 a.m. and then open their booster packs to build their deck in 45 minutes. Then comes the combat rounds, where players will be assigned an opponent. Each round lasts an average of 35 minutes. Note that time windows may vary to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. Unlike other similar collectible games that require a "best of three" match, Flesh and Blood offers no room for error: battles are settled when a player wins the single game.
Price: You will receive two packs upon entry and one pack per round victory. The winner will also receive store credits of up to $75, depending on the number of participants.
