Hello to all our regular shop visitors and Pokémon card market analysts!
The Mega Evolution: Chaos Rising expansion is officially available. While the Mega Evolution mechanic has become well-established in our daily gameplay since last fall, this fourth set is primarily aimed at collectors.
With a compact structure of over 120 cards (35+ cards with special artwork and 20+ Trainer cards), actual pull rates and values on PokeDATA are finally starting to stabilize. We'll reveal everything about Chaos Rising and its market dynamics.
The Reality of Pull Rates
Data from massive opening simulations confirms what we suspected: Chaos Rising is a very high-variance set.

Standard Pokémon EX
Drop rates remain generous and consistent, which is great news for players looking to quickly build their competitive decks.
Special Illustration Rares (SIRs):
Data from PokeDATA and simulations show that a player has a high chance of opening fewer than one SIR card per booster box. The rarity of Chaos Holos makes these versions extremely difficult to obtain, causing individual prices to skyrocket in the first week.
Purchase Value
Here's what your luck is really worth if you decide to open boosters in stores or if you're looking to acquire your cards individually:
Mega Greninja EX
This is undoubtedly the most sought-after card in the set. It comes in several secret variants that significantly increase its individual price.

Mega Greninja EX (SIR - #116)
This is the iconic card of the set. Its raw market price currently fluctuates between $415 and $445 USD. Some listed copies are even selling for $500 and more.

Mega Greninja EX (Gold - #122)
The ultra-rare gold version has stabilized at a very solid purchase price of around $340 to $400 USD.

Cinccino EX (#119 – Special Illustration Rare)
The regular double rare version (#73) is only worth a few dollars, but its SIR variant (#119) stands out as one of the biggest alternative chases in the set. Its design and rarity lead to an average value of $90 to $113 USD on PokeDATA. A very good pull if you come across it.

Mega Dragalge EX (#118 – Special Illustration Rare)
From a purely strategic standpoint, its Dragon/Poison typing is already generating buzz, which explains the card's high demand, in combination with its striking art. The Special Illustration Rare (#118) version is holding steady at a market price of around $75 USD (with peaks reaching nearly $105 on some platforms). This is an excellent, stable value for a mid-tier card from the Secret Rare set.
Our thoughts at Cartes Léo
With a limited drop rate for Special Illustration Rares, the expected value of a booster box is, to say the least, quite variable. If you're lucky enough to pull one of the chases, your return is guaranteed, but otherwise, it might be a bit more of a gamble.
If you're just a player, focus on targeted products like League Battle Decks to secure your game base.
For collectors, start opening Chaos Rising boosters to take advantage of Greninja's capped value. But if you're aiming for the Master Set, wait until the end of the month for individual card sales to stabilize before filling in the gaps with cards like Dragalge or Cinccino.
Stocks are limited in the shop, so come quickly! We're curious to see your pulls!
